PDQ, the award-winning brand birthed in Tampa in 2011, recently opened its first-ever airport location on March 20, and chose Tampa International Airport for obvious reasons.

"We could not be more excited to open our first-ever PDQ airport location in our hometown of Tampa," said Nick Reader, PDQ CEO and co-founder.

"We have a deep love for the city and are excited that we can not only serve our neighbors as they jet off, but also provide quality, delicious dining options to visitors to the area as well."

PDQ, short for "People Dedicated to Quality" is famous for its hand breaded chicken tenders, and will serve many of its classic chicken wraps, chicken sandwiches and salads.

Aside from these traditional favorites, this location introduces the first-ever breakfast menu served from 4 to 10:30 a.m featuring sandwiches, bowls, tater tots, coffee, tea and other soft drinks.

Breakfast sandwiches include the Chicken Biscuit with crispy chicken on a honey butter biscuit, and the Saucy Sriracha with bacon, egg, cheddar cheese, tomato, avocado and homemade ranch on an English muffin.

Breakfast bowls start with a base of scrambled eggs, cheddar and jack cheeses and tater tots, but can also be customized with a choice of toppings.

Bonuts are also on the new breakfast menu, which are PDQ’s signature donuts made of homemade biscuit dough that is cooked, dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of homemade toffee dipping sauce.

The new site sits in the heart of the busiest terminal, Airside C, and is part of Phase 1 of Tampa International’s master plan expansion and concessions redevelopment which adds 69 new restaurants, bars, shops and spas to its main and airside terminals.

"We are delighted to welcome PDQ as part of this transformation," said airpot CEO, Joe Lopano.

"We’ve watched them grow over the past six years and their deep connection to the local community makes them a perfect fit for the redevelopment of our busiest terminal. We are excited they can join us as we undergo this period of expansion and growth."
