PDQ and the
Lance McCullers, Jr. Foundation are partnering to help raise funds this April. A portion of proceeds from the sale of every Buffy Bleu sandwich at all 55 PDQ locations will be donated to the foundation, which aims to invest time and resources into the promotion of pet adoptions, raising awareness for shelters and programs, and continuing the journey to a no-kill world. The goal is to raise $20,000 for this important cause.
McCullers, a starting pitcher for the Houston Astros, donates countless hours each year to support pets and the foundation has raised thousands of dollars to help the cause.
“My wife Kara and I are thrilled to partner with PDQ and help raise much-needed funds for pets across the country, including here in Houston and my hometown of Tampa,” said McCullers. “Our foundation and PDQ share many of the same values, including giving back to others through charitable endeavors. We are excited to partner with our good friends at PDQ with a delicious way to help save pets.”
“We’re huge fans of Lance and the work that he and Kara do in the community as fellow People Dedicated to Quality," said Nick Reader, PDQ CEO and Co-Founder. "It is an honor for us to partner with Lance and his foundation to support such a great cause.”
PDQ’s Buffy Bleu sandwich includes the brand’s famous hand-breaded 100 percent natural fresh chicken tenders dipped in a homemade Buffalo Bleu sauce. The sauce is spiced with aged cayenne peppers and gets a refreshing cool-down with PDQ’s homemade bleu cheese sauce. The sandwich includes fresh lettuce and is served on a toasted brioche bun.
