PDQ Teams Up With ESPN's Jon Gruden for Concord Event

Nov 12
We're back at it again! The ESPN Monday Night Football Bus headed to PDQ Concord last Saturday with our good friend Jon Gruden, ESPN Monday Night Football Analyst (and longtime PDQ Tender Lover), on board to honor three more local high school football teams.

Our PDQ team, along with Super Bowl winning head coach Gruden, were proud to honor the players from Providence Day School, Harding University High School and Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The teams enjoyed PDQ's famous hand-breaded chicken tenders and homemade sauces, and received cool swag from Champion Athleticwear and PDQ. Each team also received a $4,000 check from Gruden's Fired Football Coaches Association (FFCA) and PDQ.

Branheam Murphy, Harding University High quarterback, was given a special honor and a signed PDQ football by Gruden for his perseverance and determination. His coach, Sam Greiner opened his heart and his home to him after being homeless. Since then Murphy has maintained a GPA of 3.5 and received a full scholarship to West Point.

In 2008, Gruden founded the FFCA and has spent the last nine years giving back to the game of football, with an emphasis on high school sports all over the country.

Let's just say it was a day full of good food, smiles and football. Stay tuned for the location of our next event.
