We love sharing our amazing tenders any chance we get, and this past Tuesday was no exception. Our head chef Michael Brannock hosted a cooking class with more than 20 local children at the Liberty Boys & Girls Club in South Tampa. The program is an ongoing initiative set up with
Where Love Grows and
Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.
“We teach the children and provide them with a skillset so that when they go home, they are able to cook with food items that are usually found in their pantries,” said Vicki Anzalone, Founder of Where Love Grows.
Since January of 2013, Where Love Grows has cooked and served an average of 300 meals per month at local Boys & Girls Clubs and other organizations that support the needs of children in our community. The cooking class at Liberty Boys & Girls Club included a chicken tender breading class and other cooking skills. Our team provided dinner for the entire club following the class.
“The work that Vicki and her team at Where Love Grows are doing is changing the lives of children in our community,” said PDQ CEO and Co-Founder Nick Reader. “This work, coupled with the strong support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, is how we can all partner together to make a difference each and every day.”
