Our Tampa Bay area PDQ team and
Metropolitan Ministries are teaming up to help give back during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Friday, May 1 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm, PDQ will donate one meal to someone in need for every meal purchased at any of PDQ’s 15 Tampa Bay area locations.
Metropolitan Ministries will also be accepting donations on the outside patio at two area PDQ locations: Carrollwood (12650 N. Dale Mabry Highway) and South Tampa (2207 S. Dale Mabry Highway) this Friday, May 1. The greatest needs for the donations are food such as cereal, canned meats, canned fruit, canned vegetables, beans and peanut butter, as well as additional items like diapers, baby formula, baby food, temporal thermometers, infrared forehead thermometer and hygiene items.
“Our partners at Metropolitan Ministries are constantly giving back to our community, and their support is critical during this time of need,” said Bob Basham, PDQ Co-Founder and Principal Owner. “Our guests and our Team Members who are People Dedicated to Quality hope we can make a difference to support their efforts here in the Tampa Bay area.”
“Seventy-five percent of the families we are serving today are seeking help for the first time,” said Tim Marks, Metropolitan Ministries President and CEO. “Having PDQ’s support means we can reach more families in need as our COVID-19 emergency response stretches across the Tampa Bay area. Together with PDQ and the support of donors, we’re building strong, caring communities.”
PDQ’s 15 area locations are: Bradenton, Brandon, Carrollwood, Clearwater, Lakeland, Pinellas Park, Riverview, Sarasota, Seminole, South Tampa, St. Petersburg, Trinity, Waters, Wesley Chapel and Westchase.
