Our Tampa Bay area PDQ team and
Metropolitan Ministries have partnered to give back, thanks to the support of PDQ guests and the community last month. Starting this Tuesday, June 23, PDQ and Metropolitan Ministries will donate 4,000 meals as part of their initiative at local PDQ restaurants last month.
Last month on May 1, guests to PDQ donated money and also meals with their purchases at all of PDQ’s 15 Tampa Bay area locations. For every meal purchased on that day from 11 am until 4 pm, PDQ committed to donating one meal back through Metropolitan Ministries. The results of that day kick off on Tuesday, June 23 with 200 meals for dinner at Metropolitan Ministries in downtown Tampa, with other donations to take place at various times at both the Tampa and Pasco County campuses over the next 10 weeks.
“It’s incredible what we can do as a community thanks to partners like PDQ,” said Tim Marks, Metropolitan Ministries President and CEO. “I hope that every PDQ guest understands the impact of this donation and the part they played in it. Thanks to PDQ’s generosity and compassion, thousands of meals will be shared with families on the brink and struggling to make it through the summer.”
“Our partners at Metropolitan Ministries are constantly giving back to our community, and their support is critical during this time of need,” said Bob Basham, PDQ Co-Founder and Principal Owner. “Our guests and our Team Members who are People Dedicated to Quality are proud to be part of their incredible work here in the Tampa Bay area.”
PDQ’s area locations are: Bradenton, Brandon, Carrollwood, Clearwater, Lakeland, Pinellas Park, Riverview, Sarasota, Seminole, South Tampa, St. Petersburg, Trinity, Waters, Wesley Chapel, Westchase and USF/Temple Terrace (opening in September).
