PDQ and Soleciety are excited to announce that they will host a Giving Tuesday event on Tuesday, December 3 at Soleciety’s downtown location at 202 E. Cass Street in Tampa. The PDQ team will be on-site throughout the day from 8:00 am-8:00 pm, selling PDQ’s famous hand-breaded chicken tender meals, with 100 percent of all proceeds going directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. The event will also include exclusive PDQ and Soleciety co-branded merchandise, with 100 percent of sales of those items also being donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.

Local celebrities and organizations will take part in this all-day event, helping to serve meals and visit with guests who make a donation with the purchase of a meal. Confirmed attendees thus far include WWE superstar Titus O’Neil, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the USF Ceremonial Band. In addition, local radio personalities like Drew Garabo and Spanish from 102.5 The Bone, Danielle (Magic 94.9 FM), Ann Kelly (105.5 FM WDUV), Chris Fisher (107.3 The Eagle), Sam from 97X, and Scotty from the Miguel and Holly Show (Hot 101.5 FM), all from Cox Media Group, will be on-site, along with local artists and musicians and more. A full schedule of events will be posted on the Facebook event page and updated regularly leading up to the event.

In addition, PDQ will partner with Boys & Girls Clubs across the country as it will donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of its award-winning Crispy Chicken sandwich at all locations from December 3 through January 6. This partnership will include working with the local clubs and PDQ restaurants to give back within each of the communities.

“Providing people with various ways to show their support for causes important to them is what #GivingTuesday is all about,” said Chris Letsos, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. “We are excited to partner with PDQ and provide foodies in our community with the opportunity to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay through the purchase of their favorite chicken tenders and sandwich! PDQ continues to be an important and innovative community partner with its pop up store and December promotion raising critical monies to support programming for several thousand youth served in Clubs every day.”

“We are honored to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs and Soleciety to help raise much-needed funds this holiday season,” said Bob Basham, PDQ Co-Founder and Principal Owner, and board member of the Boys & Girls Club Foundation. “Like our PDQ team members, the Boys & Girls Clubs are filled with People Dedicated to Quality who have been impacting lives for decades.”

“Our Soleciety team is so excited to host this special event with our good friends from PDQ and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay,” said Tarik Nasser, Soleciety Owner. “Giving Tuesday is a unique opportunity to make a difference in our community and we look forward to welcoming people from all over the area to support such an important cause.”
