Official Rules: PDQ 15th Anniversary “Where’s Petey?” Scavenger Hunt

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Eligibility

The PDQ 15th Anniversary “Where’s Petey?” Scavenger Hunt (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of PDQ Chicken (“Sponsor”), its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) or household members of each are not eligible to participate or win.

2. Contest Period & Schedule

The Contest begins on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”).

The Contest consists of five (5) distinct daily store hunts (each a “Daily Hunt”) taking place Monday through Friday. One (1) participating store location will host the Daily Hunt per day. Clues for each Daily Hunt will be posted on the official PDQ Instagram account (@pdqfreshfood) daily at 11:00 AM ET.

3. How to Enter and Play

  • Daily Clues: At 11:00 AM ET each day during the Contest Period, Sponsor will post a visual/written location clue(s) on Instagram revealing the participating store location and hiding area for that day’s Petey.

  • Finding Petey: Participants must visit the designated participating store location, locate the hidden Petey on store grounds, take a photo/selfie holding Petey, and physically bring Petey to the front register to check in with a PDQ Team Member.

  • Verification Code: Upon verification, the participating Team Member will provide the first eligible participant with a unique daily verification code.

  • Submitting Your Entry: To officially claim the Grand Prize, the participant must send a Direct Message (DM) to @pdqfreshfood on Instagram containing:

    • The selfie taken with Petey on store property; AND

    • The unique verification code provided by the PDQ Team Member.

4. Grand Prize Winner Determination & Verification

  • First to Claim: The first (1) eligible participant per Daily Hunt to physically locate Petey, check in with a Team Member, and DM the selfie with the valid verification code to [@pdqfreshfood] will be declared the Grand Prize Winner for that day, subject to verification of eligibility.

  • Limit: One (1) Grand Prize per person/PDQ Rewards account during the entire Contest Period.

5. Grand Prize Details & Fulfillment

Five (5) Grand Prizes will be awarded in total (one per Daily Hunt). Each Grand Prize consists of “Free Tenders for a Year,” fulfilled exclusively through the official PDQ Rewards Program.

  • PDQ Rewards Requirement: To claim and receive the Grand Prize, each winner must possess or create an active, free PDQ Rewards account.

  • Reward Structure: The Grand Prize consists of one (1) digital reward for 3 Free Tenders deposited into the winner’s registered PDQ Rewards account once per week for fifty-two (52) consecutive weeks.

  • Reward Expiration & Stacking Restrictions:

    • Each weekly reward is valid for seven (7) days from the date of issuance.

    • Unused weekly rewards will expire at the end of each weekly cycle and cannot be stacked, combined, saved, rolled over, or redeemed in bulk.

    • Rewards carry no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be substituted.

    • Standard menu modifications, add-ons, or substitutions may incur additional charges.

6. Media & Public License Release

By submitting an entry via Direct Message, participants grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to broadcast, publish, feature, re-share, and otherwise use the submitted photo/selfie, participant’s Instagram handle, and participant’s name and likeness across PDQ’s digital and social channels (including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, website, and email marketing) for promotional purposes without additional compensation, notice, or review.

7. Property Access & Conduct

Participants must adhere to all store guidelines, posted safety notices, and local laws while participating on PDQ property. Petey will always be hidden in publicly accessible, safe areas. Participants are strictly prohibited from climbing, entering unauthorized employee-only zones, damaging store property, or disturbing other dining guests. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant engaging in unsafe or disruptive conduct.

8. General Conditions & Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete DMs, technical glitches, Instagram platform outages, network disruptions, or hardware malfunctions that may affect a participant’s ability to view clues or send submissions. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest or any Daily Hunt if fraud, technical failures, or compromise of integrity occur.
